It Happened One Night

1. Relate what was discussed in class or the text to the screening.

This film titled it happened one night was very similar to a lot of discussions that occurred in class and out of class. In class we talked about love films and more so how females started to get more attention in the ground breaking love films of Hollywood. Out of class discussions meaning,  there are many films from modern day that are exact copies or replicas of It Happened One Night.

2. Find a related article and summarize the content.

A Similar film to It Happened One Night is a film that was made in 1940 just six years after It Happened One Night was The Philadelphia Story . When a rich woman's Ex-husband and a Tabloid-type reporter turn up just before her planned remarriage ,  she begins to realize the truth about herself. What's funny about all the movies from back then and now is that they all aren't  original movies they all are piggy backed off the movies from the past. Many movies are all all repeated now days they just are re-made a little than what they made it to the last they make it.

It Happened one Night was a romantic comedy directed by Frank Capra. The Journalist or Newspaper guy gets word that a rich young lady has run away from home and is on her way to New York. The Newspaper guy is very excited to find this girl get her story then return her to gets his reward of money for finding her. When he finally meet her he come to find out that the girl is too much of a snob and she is spoiled and stuck up all because her father gives her everything that she wants.     The Gold Rush (1925)

1. Relate what was discussed in class or the text to the screening.
I can say after knowing the knowledge I know about Charlie Chaplin. Seeing him in an actual film was a very great inspiration and he was a very great actor of this time, Charlie Chaplin was the Johnny Depp of the 1900's as an actor. Charlie Chaplin made a lot of money off this Film. It took around $1,000,000 to create this film but he was such a huge success that it made $6,000,000 back in sales.

This Film was a very significant to a lot of films and future films. Charlie Chaplin paved the way for a lot of  Director,  Actors and even more.

4.  Write a critical analysis of the film, including your personal opinion, formed as a result of the screening, class discussions, text material and the article.
This film was a great film all around because knowing film from today and film from back then I could not watch this, but I actually enjoyed this film and i was laughing a lot even though there was not any sound at all. Its amazing how the editing was done back in the day because editing was done by cutting pieces and putting them together and that is a very cool way to edit I would've never thought editing was done this way
